This website (www.soapandanchor.com) is operated by Soap and Anchor. These Terms of Service together with our Privacy Policy govern your use of our website. By using this website you accept these terms in full. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the site, including users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants and/or contributors of content. If you disagree with any of these terms, please do not use the website. We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions by posting updates to our website and updating the ‘Last updated’ date at the top of this page. Your continued use of or access to this website following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Our website is hosted by Squarespace who provides us with the online e-commerce platform from which to sell our products and services to you.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

This site may contain historical information which is provided for your reference only. We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete, or current. We reserve the right to modify the content of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to this site.

Images of products are for illustrative purposes only. We try our best to be as accurate as possible when it comes to our products. However, there might be slight variations in colour between the images and the actual products due to computer displays and lighting. This also applies to packaging. Packaging may vary from what is actually shown on our website. We will often use recycled packaging in which to post products to you to cut down on waste.

Pricing and Postage

The prices on our website are in £ (pounds sterling). The postage prices are not included in the cost of products. Postage prices are based on Royal Mail Second Class Small and Medium Parcel rates for all items excluding the Hair Conditioner Bars and Skin Balm Tins which can be shipped via Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter service. Postage rates are disclosed as you add items to your cart. Please see below for a breakdown of the shipping rates.

Currently, items can only be purchased and shipped within the UK.

Items are shipped by Royal Mail 2nd Class Small and Medium Parcel service, the rates for which start at £3.19 for a maximum weight of 2kg. Hair Conditioner Bars and Skin Balm Tins only are shipped via Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter rate of £1.55. Please note, however, that should you add any other product to your cart this will trigger the 2nd Class Parcel service, the rates for which start at £3.19 as detailed above and below.

Unless otherwise specified on this website, we will despatch your goods within 3 working days of your payment being cleared. Royal Mail Second Class postal service aims to deliver within 2-3 working days from the date of receipt of the item. Depending on the size of the order, we may decide to ship using Royal Mail Second Class Signed For service. If we do, this will be at no additional cost to you.

All prices are subject to change at any time and without prior notice, although we will try to notify you, by placing an announcement on this website, if any price increase is significant.

All prices on our site include VAT. If the VAT rate changes between the date and time of your order being placed and our taking payment, the amount of VAT will be automatically adjusted when taking payment.

Depending on the size of the order, we may decide to ship your order using Royal Mail Second Class Signed For service. If we do, this will be at no additional cost to you.

Online Ordering

You are responsible for ensuring that all information given by you at the time of ordering is correct. The information that you provide must relate to you, the buyer, and not a third party. When you have completed your order and payment, please note that this does not mean that your order has been fully accepted by us, Soap and Anchor. If you give inaccurate or incomplete information when making your order, please get in touch as soon as possible. If we need to contact you to process your order, because of inaccurate or incomplete information, and you do not provide us with the necessary information to process your order, we will cancel it. We may pass on any associated costs to you.

We reserve the right to cancel any order (and process a refund in full) without prior notice, although we will always try to tell you why we’ve had to cancel your order.

When you visit our website and/or purchase something from us, you engage in our service and we shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

We reserve the right to limit the sales of our products or services that we offer, as well as discontinue any products at any time.

Despatch and Payment

We use Stripe and PayPal to process payments as it provides a secure payment option for our customers. We do not see or retain your credit card details.

Returns, Refunds and Cancellations

If your order arrives damaged or gets lost in the post, please email us at hello@soapandanchor.com so that we can try to resolve this issue for you. If the items are damaged in any way, please take a photo, and send it to us at hello@soapandanchor.com (Eversleigh House, Lane End Road, Bembridge PO35 5SZ). You are entitled to a full refund or replacement for damaged or missing goods.

The card used to purchase the damaged or missing products will be credited with the full original purchase price plus delivery costs once we receive the damaged products. We recommend holding on to proof of postage as we can’t take responsibility for any products you return to us that get lost in the post.

Please note, however, that our products are hand-made and there may be minor variations in each individual product (e.g., size, shape, design). We can however assure you that all products are made to the same tested recipe so the integral quality of the product should never be in question.

If you want to make a change to your order after you have submitted it, please contact us at hello@soapandanchor.com and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.

If you’re not happy with the goods you receive and want to return them for a refund, and the goods are not faulty in any way, you can return them to our premises (Eversleigh House, Lane End Road, Bembridge PO35 5SZ) for a full refund within 14 days of receiving them, together with proof of purchase. We will refund you the full purchase price, plus postage costs, within 14 days of our receiving the goods, provided the goods are in the same condition they were in when they left our premises and they have not been used, opened, or had any seals broken. Refunds can only be provided if the goods are re-sellable (unless they are faulty, or an incorrect item has been sent). You are responsible for the safe shipment of the goods to our premises including the cost of posting the items to us. The refund will be applied to the payment card used to make the purchase. If you want to return a purchase that was part of a gift set, you will need to return the entire set as we can’t accept returns of part of a set.

If you have received our products as a gift and are not 100% satisfied, please get in touch as we will be happy to exchange them for alternative products of a similar value (subject to availability).

Liability

We can confirm that all products listed on our website strictly adhere to UK cosmetics law and are covered by a Cosmetic Product Safety Report.

We sell and ship to customers in the UK only.
